You freakin’ rock!  You told me my leg would hurt for 2 days and you were right, but after that, whatever you did was pure magic.  I ran 3.5 miles today.  You’re amazing!  Thank you!”

Crazy!  My guitar practice tonight was the best I’ve played since I started.  Without even realizing it, I was able to stretch my fingers to pick up 2 extra frets.  I had to actually slow down to make sure I was playing the right chords since I was used to spreading my fingers only so far.  I was able to move my fingers faster and more accurately than before.  My pinkie finger even felt stronger.  All that, and I played for 30 minutes straight with very little wrist cramp/pain.  Thanks for the help!”

I have found pain relief for the two back surgeries I have had and the nerve damage to my legs from them.  I have been receiving physical therapy from Southern Maryland Myofascial Release, Inc. for approximately a year and a half.  I have been very pleased with the results!  I was fortunate that the woman who recommended this type of therapy to me was knowledgeable about the process, since she had gone through it, and gave me some good advice.  She told me that this therapy is not a one shot and done type of relief.  This is not like taking medicine or a pill and everything would be better in the morning.  She did tell me that the process can take up to anywhere between 4-6 weeks before I see lasting results.  I was glad she told me that, because the therapy is not strenuous and it almost feels as though nothing is being done; but it is!  In time, approximately 4 weeks for me, I started to notice I was not hurting as much as I would normally by week’s end.  I also noticed that my balance and strength was getting better.  I can’t express how much relief I get when I have my therapy and how much I miss it when I don’t.”

I came to Heather with a lot of physical deficits with chronic back pain being of major concern.  Each session has brought continued improvement.  I no longer need 24/7 pain medication.  I feel more energetic and my quality of life has greatly improved.  I’m walking much better.  People are telling me I look taller because I am carrying myself so much better thanks to Heather.  I highly recommend Heather as a therapist.  She is with you one-on-one the whole session and is sensitive to your needs and concerns.”

After a fall that affected my shoulder, tests and MRIs and talk of possible shoulder surgery followed.  I requested physical therapy before going the route of the more invasive surgery.  Having had excellent care from Heather in the past, I made an appointment with  her.  Within seconds of seeing me, she assessed the problem and started a plan of action.  Each session brought more relief and before long, I was freed from the debilitating shoulder pain.  During the whole process, Heather kept me informed and was always available to answer all of my questions.  You won’t find a better physical therapist anywhere!”
